By accessing or using KONDWIT ("the Service"), provided by KONDWIT Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
KONDWIT is a pipeline safety regulatory intelligence platform that provides access to federal regulations, enforcement data, interpretive guidance, and analytical tools for pipeline operators and service providers. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion. We may change pricing with 30 days written notice.
You agree not to:
Regulatory data. Regulatory data displayed in the Service is sourced from public federal databases (eCFR, PHMSA, Federal Register, etc.). While we strive for accuracy, the Service is an analytical tool and does not constitute legal advice. You should verify critical regulatory information against official sources.
Your content. Content you create within the Service — including research sessions, memos, findings, evidence collections, and citations — remains your intellectual property. We claim no ownership over the content itself.
License you grant to us. By using the Service, you grant KONDWIT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display the content and interaction data you generate (including research sessions, canvas state, item pins, highlights, exclusion signals, search queries, and other usage signals) for the purpose of operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Service.
Derived and aggregated data. The Service learns from how it is used. We may use aggregated and de-identified signals derived from your interactions — such as which sources users cite together, which items are pinned or excluded, and which retrieval results are followed up on — to improve retrieval ranking, train and fine-tune models, evaluate product quality, and develop new features. Aggregated and de-identified data does not identify you or your organization and is not sold to third parties for advertising. KONDWIT retains rights to derived data, models, and analytics produced through this process.
Account deletion and retention. You may delete your account at any time via the in-app settings or by contacting us. Within 30 days of deletion we will remove your personally-identifiable content (account profile, research sessions, memos, and the original copies of items you created). Aggregated and de-identified signals already incorporated into model training data, retrieval indices, or product analytics may be retained — these no longer identify you and cannot reasonably be traced back to your account.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days. After that period, your data may be deleted.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
